Getting the D
By Eden Short
2014
A parody of female stereotypes using gender-swapping in a zine. This slightly offensive zine came about after enduring two 20-something boys overly loud, obnoxious chatter which most of this content is directly inspired from, that one Thursday in Autumn.
Crisp typography and line is used to maximise impact of the message when reading, utilising the unbound nature of the zine. The paper stock is metallic and used in a variety of obnoxious colour ways, making each unique as no colour combination is used more than once.

Land of Burns
By Eden Short
2015
A zine-exploration of a previous series of publications I Like Big Maps & I Cannot Lie.
Researching New Zealand’s Land of Burns and it’s history, I came across the phenomenon where Scottish farmyard names are names of towns.
Farmyard animals shown in this zine are illustrations of a selection of some town names of this region. To connect back to its Scottish heritage poetry is used from the Robert Burns poetry book, also named The Land of Burns. Topographical illustrations and poetry juxtapose each other as the back of each print is a key to which animal is hidden.

I Wasted $30,000 at Design School. Here is why.
By Josh Griggs
2014
A Riso-printed zine that sums up the learnings of an entire three year bachelor of graphic design in a single handy volume. Sarcastic yet insightful, this is the perfect zine for any cynical or slightly jaded design enthusiast.

Fictitious Truths vol. 2
By Eden Short
2015
A collection of unintentional and deliberate mistakes presented as fact in assorted dictionaries and encyclopedias. Known as ‘nihilartikel’ words, the origin is adopted from german, combining the word for nothing, nihil, and article, artikel. Thus the words themselves mean nothing, as does the name that they are collectively given.
The initial reading of the artefact presents the words and their description, but once the full page is opened answers are given and the hidden truth revealed.
